I love to craft immersive game environments and enjoy all things 3D.
I worked as Lead Environment Artist for EA's Melbourne studio Firemonkeys. I got to work on several exciting AAA mobile titles making art, 3d environments, managing small and agile art teams, mentoring new artists, improving the art pipeline, working tightly with other disciplines and even some production responsibilities.
The focus of our art was "authentic environments", best highlighted by our racing titles, where we made levels visually accurate to their real-world counterpart while still allowing some freedom for creating our own marks on the locations.
As our studio took on a new, exciting and challenging project - we needed to incorporate outsourcing vendors into our environment art pipeline for the first time. In conjunction with the studio DD and the Art Director, we crafted the pipeline where I then made the art tests and eventually managed the Outsourcing vendors until the role was filled.
