Series 6 E-Wing

My take on the Star Wars Expanded Universe's E-Wing. While I liked the original design, I felt that as the Expanded Universe series continued that their designs would get sleeker and more stylish while still showing the utilitarian nature that made designs like the X-Wing so iconic.

For the E-Wing, I pictured it as a premier fighter built around speed and technology. I used real-world references not only of modern fighters like the F-22, but also of Formula 1 race cars and concept art to invoke the sense of a purpose-built, sleek machine. The final flow of the air inlets utilised designs from the Wipeout series to get the proportions to feel sleek.
